January: releases - Guinea
Issiaka Camara, and Alpha Oumar Diallo Hassiniou Pendessa Three soldiers arrested in December 2008 were released January 25, 2010. They were never disclosed the reasons for their arrest and detention for the duration of the three soldiers were never brought before a judge. Amnesty International had called on the Guinean authorities to subject them to a regular process for an offense is a finding of criminal or releasing them.
February: Campaign Demand Dignity "- Burkina Faso

March: Death Penalty - Iran Hossein

April: campaign "More rights than security" - UK
On 23 April 2010 the Minister of Justice announced that Lotfi Raissi, a flight instructor accused of having trained the hijackers of 11 September 2001, is "completely exonerated "of all charges. This decision also opens the way for the possible award of damages for man wrongly accused of terrorism. Raissi was arrested 21 September 2001 on the basis of evidence provided by the U.S. and a subsequent request for extradition. He remained in prison until April 2002 when a judge had ordered the release, there is no evidence about his involvement in activities terrorist.
May: Prisoners of conscience - Malawi
Tiwonge Chimbalanga Monjeza and Steven, two men convicted a few weeks ago for "serious acts of indecency" and "unnatural acts" were released May 29, 2010 following the grace Presidential allowed even after the appeals sent by Amnesty International and other organizations that defend the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. Monjeza Chimbalanga and had been arrested Dec. 28, 2009, two days after celebrating their engagement during a public ceremony.
June: international justice - Bosnia and Herzegovina
June 15 2010 Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia has sentenced to life imprisonment two former Bosnian Serb military, and Vujadin Popovic Ljiubisa Beara. The two defendants were convicted of genocide for the massacre of Srebrenica, where in July 1995 at least 8,000 Bosnian Muslims were killed. Five other defendants were sentenced to between five and 35 years in prison.
July: campaign "Stop Violence Against Women" - Italy
On July 2, 2010 the President of the Republic promulgated the law that authorizes him to ratify the Council of Europe Convention against Trafficking in Human Beings, adopted by parliament on June 30. The treaty, adopted in 2005 and came into force on 1 February 2008 represents important international instrument for the protection of trafficked persons in Europe. The Italian Section of Amnesty International has been working for the adoption of the European Convention for the ratification by Italy.
August: International Law
August 1 came into force, the Convention on Cluster Munitions that bans the use, production, stockpiling and transfer of cluster munitions. The text was adopted in Dublin on 30 May 2008 and opened for signature in Oslo in December of that year. Amnesty International, said it welcomed the adoption of the text, along with hundreds of other organizations, had long worked for a total ban on cluster munitions.
September: Human Rights Defenders - China
Chen Guangcheng, a lawyer and human rights defender, was released September 9, 2010 after spending four years in prison. In August 2006 he was sentenced to four years and three months imprisonment for "damaging public property and gathering people to block traffic." Guangcheng that year had helped the people of Linyi (Shandong province) to bring to justice the local authorities for their illegal policy of forced abortions and sterilizations, to the detriment of thousands of women. Amnesty International adopted him as a prisoner of conscience and denounced his case during the campaign "Beijing 2008: Olympics and human rights."
October: Prisoners of conscience - China
October 8, 2010 to Liu Xiaobo, a prisoner of conscience adopted by Amnesty International, was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2010. Liu Xiaobo, co-founder of the manifesto for reform and human rights "Charter 08", is serving a sentence of 11 years in prison for "inciting subversion of state power."
November: Prisoners of conscience - Myanmar
On November 13, 2010 Aung San Suu Kyi, Nobel Peace Prize and leader of the National League for Democracy has been released. He had spent 15 of the last 21 years under house arrest.
December: death penalty - Cuba
on 3 and 7 December 2010, the Supreme Court commuted to 30 years in prison the death sentences of two Salvadoran citizens, Ernesto Cruz Leon and Otto Rene Rodriguez, who in 1997 took part in a series of bloody attacks against hotels and restaurants frequented by foreigners.
